My Bible journaling for today is John 10:9                                                                                                      Jesus said: I am the door: by me, if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. This passage has been lingering in my mind all day; I shared it with the sweet 94-year-old that I care for several days a week. We talked about that door and how, when you look at it from afar, it seems very small and plain and nothing that you would run to and desire to enter.  It is not like Door Number One or Two or Three.  Even though plain, it is the most important door a person can pass through.  From  2 Corinthians 9, a lesson on giving and not giving.  These verses speak about financial giving, how to do it, and why to do it,  the point being that  God's economy is perfect.  A Cheerful giver is a person who is not owned by his or her bank account or possessions. Paul encourages us to be free in our giving, loving others as Christ loves us. Banking the freedom of righteousness, which through us produces many thanksgivings to The Lord! I used an old Impression Obsession wood-mounted basket stamp. I love the quality of "IO" stamps. and a few markers to make the seeds. It was a restful journaling session.   Prompted by a good rest this snowy winter, I felt the unction springboard back to blogging. I've started a new series of bible journaling, the Names of Jesus, and I am enjoying it so much that I wanted to share it with you. I belong to a wonderful Bible Journaling Facebook group called Journaling Along The Way, owned by Lynn Grobler. This group welcomes all forms of bible journaling, digital, rubber stamp, and mixed media, and tutorials on many styles are offered regularly; the central focus is on worship.  Having gotten to know Lynn a bit, I am inspired by her passion and love for the Lord and her desire to help women all over the planet find liberty and joy in worship through Art. Located in South Africa, she is a pastor's wife, educator, mom, and sister to anyone she can share the gospel with!  Lynn has helped me grow and stretch myself, and I know someday, because of her, I will start making videos.                   ...

  Bible Journaling is something I really enjoy for many different reasons.  Before I start with paper and ink, I spend time reading the word, finding more about the subject, and just letting my mind go to the time and place of the passage of scripture. I generally do this after my devotion in the morning.  I will do the page after work or after dinner if it is a workday. I don't rush it; I let it water my soul.                   Today, the subject was Jesus the Lion of Judah. It made me think of the Lord's power and majesty, of the great temple of Solomon, and of God's grandeur and richness. I will show you my finished page, and if you are interested, the process and resource links will follow.  Today's page was almost a disaster. I tried something different, and it didn't work.
